Good Evening QT’s! It is super hot outside so I had to move the cooking outdoors. I have been known to make a variety of burgers from cheese and bacon stuffed, italian style, and burgers on donuts but there is more creativity on the inside of this girl. I wanted something that was spicy and cheesy and yummy for dinner tonight and I ended up with this…
2 poblano peppers
Monterey Jack cheese slices
1/3lb burger patties
1. Chop up peppers and onions into small pieces
2. Mix the onions and peppers together to create a type of relish
3. Season the burger liberally with salt and pepper. This will help to create a crust and nice grill marks. Heat the grill screaming hot. Once you put the burger on the grill leave it alone! Wait until you see it looks crisp around the edges and you’ll end up with an amazing char and grill marks
4. Put some of the relish on top while the other side of the burger cooks. Turn off one side of the grill and toast the bun. Add the cheese to the burger and turn off the grill. While the cheese melts add condiments to the bun and a slice of tomato.
